About this site

Welcome to my corner of the web. There are no clothes here or anywhere else in the site, but there's nothing to cause offence.

Book news: I've just published a guidebook to nude beaches that aims to make the naked bathing experience as inviting and as accessible as possible. If you're interested take a look at www.barebeaches.com. I've been so encouraged by the huge number of site visitors and the warmth of the naturist community that doing the book was partly inspired by this site. I think naturists are really decent people so I hope the book attracts a few more to join us.

This website has been running since April 2002, and has been updated in April 2003 and again in June 2004. Thanks to all who have sent their kind comments (I haven't had any unkind ones, as it happens). If you've visited any of the places I've listed and managed to enjoy naturism there, or indeed are just a keen armchair naturist traveller, please do drop me a line: nick@nmayhew.demon.co.uk

This site aims to show that naturism is just as enjoyable in Siberia and other parts of the world as it is on a European beach. It is both a record of my experiences as a naturist in different environments and cultures, and about some of the people I've met on the way. The one thing that strikes me is how hard it is to predict attitudes to the bare body once I get outside the world I know.

I'm proud to be a naturist and am happy to put my name to this way of life. I would encourage others to do the same, particularly because I would love to have more images of other naturists to add variety to this site. The site is dedicated to a naturist audience, and is only promoted to other naturists.
